I applied to many different dental clinics seeking work experience and Bank View Smiles Studios was the only clinic that provided me work experience for the duration of 2 days. Despite the short time period, I learned many things during my time at the clinic such as how the charting system works and viewed a plethora of procedures including white filling and crowning. The staff (Dr Master and Dr Sarah) were always happy to answer any of my questions regarding the procedures that had taken place and even explained other aspects of dentistry that I hadn't thought about such as the different specialists within dentistry. Overall, my experience at Bank View Smiles Studios has made me further intrigued in the dental sector and has secured my desire for dentistry as a future aspiration.

Just last week, I received the utmost kindness and care here, so I thought I would share this little story. I went for one filling at the front, yet my brilliant dentist said he would manage to fit in another small filling during the appointment. In itself this was amazing and not the first time this has occurred. Yet I did think Dr Khalid was working on it for a bit longer than, "...a little cavity I will nip in the bud," and there wasn't the tell-tale drilling that happens when something turns out to be worse than expected and more has to be drilled away, but I just tend to lie back, relax and virtually snooze (which tells you something about the gentle way he works), so I didn't think more about it. I got out of the chair feeling something slightly different, but not sure what. "Whilst doing your fillings I decided to give myself an extra challenge!" and an explanation followed as to how he had built up a recessed tooth and worked on the front too, to straighten my previously crooked smile. He handed me a mirror and I was completely taken aback at this wonderful surprise. You see after braces in my teens, I was left with a tooth still out of line, pushed back and, as I was not given a retainer in time (all by a separate orthodontic practice), my front right tooth was pushed forwards when my wisdom tooth tried to come. My previous dentist did damage limitation with a retainer, but not a day has past when I haven't been bothered by it nonetheless. I honestly got to the car and cried buckets! Two fillings and cosmetic work were done in hardly anything over 30 minutes and this additional cosmetic work, oh my, was given as a gift. I am overjoyed that something that has left me self-conscious for 30 odd years has been transformed in an act of such selfless generosity. I'm always telling my friends and family about the "wizardry" and sheer expertise of my multiple award-winning dentist Dr Khalid, and why I now travel a 5 hour + /320 miles round trip since I moved to Scotland a few years ago, because his skillful work and exemplary dedication to his craft astounds me and ensures the very best outcomes. I can highly recommend him and indeed all the team at Bank View Smile Studios. If you're in need of a top class, unparalleled dentist, then give Bank View a call and you will get a warm welcome from the moment you walk into reception. There really aren't adequate words to say thank you for last week in particular, nor for everything else. The resounding 5 star reviews here don't surprise me at all!

Having admired the practice over a number of years by following them on social media but never having the opportunity to join. I am delighted to have taken the opportunity during covid whilst my own practice was closed or not offering routine appointments, I finally made the decision to become part of the Bank View family of patients. And it really does feel like a family as they make you feel very much at home from the moment you walk through the door, in fact even before that, when you are on the phone too. I am so glad i made the change as everyone has made me feel really welcome, Dr Khalid in particular, who is my dentist. He is fabulous, he listens to you and really makes you feel comfortable. All the support team are very happy, smiley and helpful. I wish i had made the move sooner and I cannot recommend Bank View Smile Studios highly enough and would award them more than 5 stars if i could. Simply the best!

I recently undertook work experience here at Bank View Smile Studios, and it's easy for me to say I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it! I was made aware of them through a family-friend, and as a multi-award winning practice, I felt honoured to gain experience there. All staff members at Bank View were extremely encouraging and supportive. They ensured that all my questions were answered and if there was anything which piqued my interest, they were happy to explain. The dentists Dr Sarpong and Dr Master continuously provided me with useful advice and tried to make my experience as interactive as possible. I was also quite amazed by the high quality of their general dental work and the excellent customer service. The practice is truly patient-centred. Having completed work experience at BVSS was truly fascinating. I was able to gain an insight on Dentistry and it only inspired me more to want to become a dentist. What I have learnt over the few days that I was at BVSS, I could not find anywhere else. Dr.Khalid and Dr.Thomas were so forthcoming and always took the time out, during and in between appointments, to teach me about key aspects of Dentistry. For example, I learnt the 38 step process to a standard check up, everything about the machinery and equipment used to treat a patient and also all the specialist fields of dentistry. I am greatly appreciative of everyone at BVSS for providing me with such a warm, welcoming and highly beneficial experience. First time at this Dental Practice was perfect. Friendly staff and and professional manner.I went for an extraction(which wasn't painful at all) explaining the doctor what I need it for,and what extra do I need. Because in UK is expensive to get an implant I will go to Turkey and doctors ask for some photos and x-ray. He advised me what to do for that, he done x-ray and photos,gave me advice what is better to do just to help me with future implants.I had a big discount on the end. Happy to be there today. I strongly recommend this dentist

I recently had the opportunity to complete work experience at Bank View Smile Studios, this has become increasing difficult as a result of the pandemic; after many unsuccessful applications, I came across Dr Khalid who was willing to take me on and provide a valuable insight into dentistry. In hindsight, it was an excellent opportunity to learn about the profession, where research isn't sufficient- this has aided me in my interview preparation as I learnt more than I could have imagined in such a short period of time. Dr Khalid was very enthusiastic in asking and taking questions, many of which were thought-provoking and providing an experience I am grateful for. It was clear to see why patients are so trusting of Dr Khalid as he is a first-rate dentist and conducts himself with the upmost professionalism. It was a privilege to observe and I couldn't have asked for a better practice to do my work experience at.

After years of poor dentistry and my own poor habits, have finally found the most dedicated, honest team ever. Everyone at Bank View Smile Studios are welcoming, non judgemental and so friendly. Am so very pleased with my new smile and massively grateful to Dr Somia Mohammed and her nurse in particular, as well as an excellent hygienist, (whose name regretfully I didn't catch.) It was honestly, a really pleasant experience, from the start of my treatment, to the end. Can't sing this practise praises highly enough!! Would recommend anyone, who is not currently receiving the treatment they deserve to join Bank View Smile Studios, to experience a truly professional approach. Thank you, Somia. Kind and gentle dentistry is correct. I hadn't been to a dentist for 15 years due to anxiety and a few bad experiences and as a result my teeth were a mess - loose or already fallen out. I haven't smiled for 10 years! Somia listened, there was no judgement, just a sensible plan of action and 1 month later my treatment is complete. Some teeth removed and replaced and now I can smile again. I also have a permanent dentist. My daughter cried when she saw me smile. My confidence has already started to return

I recently did work experience at Bank View Smile Studios and I can now see where the smile comes from in the name because the two days I got to experience left me with the biggest smile 🙂 In addition, I could see the smiles on every single patient who came in to see Dr Khalid U. Master and Dr Thomas S. Sarpong because both the dentists I got to shadow went above and beyond for every patient, through their communication and flawless skills as dentists. I learnt so much in depth about processes of dental treatments such as crowns and composite fillings and was also able to examine x-rays along with before and after pictures with the dentists which really consolidated procedures I had seen the Dentists perform and I was also able to learn causes of dental problems. The whole team made me feel so welcome and never did I feel like I was asking ‘silly’ questions. The nurses were amazing also and I got to observe the streamlined teamwork that makes the dental practice so great. The nurses I got to work with were Bushra, Claire and Amara who are all amazing with what they do. Claire taught me about dental charting and explained it so well. She set me tasks to be able to learn the names of the 5 tooth surfaces and made it really interactive. I will continue learning these to make sure I do not forget! Bushra and Amara also helped teach me about pieces of equipment they were using such as reasons for the changes of light colour when doing a composite filling.I thoroughly enjoyed my two days of work experience and want to thank everyone at Bank view smile studios for making my time so memorable and fulfilling. Especially with the current situation I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity and thank both Dr Master and Dr Sarpong for giving up their time to allow me to ask the questions I asked and to allow me to learn about their world and hopefully join it one day

I was spoken to very rudely by one particular receptionist, Haley.I tried to explain my situation to her but she wasn't interested and kept repeating that I have to book a check up, which I'd already had a few months prior.I will use this practice again for procedures as I had planned to, just won't deal with this receptionist.

Moved to the area a couple of years ago and had trouble finding a dentist due to the pandemic. As such it's been a while since seeing a dentist, but Bank View Smile Studios have been great. Once registered as a new patient, which was easy, I booked an initial checkup and assessment. This went extremely well and was very good and informative. The follow on work to correct a couple of issues has also been very good.Khalid and the team are absolutely superb, providing excellent patient care and guidance for healthier teeth and gums..Would definitely recommend.

The best Dentist in Lancashire by far and the first Dentist I've been to where I don't feel terrified whenever I go for an appointment!.Easy to talk to all the staff there, flexible with timings and appointments, treatment is top notch and payment is easy and spaced out so it's never a worry.Calm, relaxing environment as you have work done plus they talk you through every step and work with you rather than treat you as a number.

I completed work experience with Dr Khalid Master; he truly went above and beyond. I received a placement after being recommended by my uncle who is a colleague of his. I had to fill in a pre-dental work experience form which requires research into the realities of dentistry and attaining a place in dental school as well as a thorough reflection of why dentistry would be for you. I expected to be sat observing and to gain a feel of dentistry through watching however, this was not the case : the experience was extremely interactive and I was taught many things about the teeth and the processes I was watching in between patients. He also sacrificed time to allow me to make notes during lunch and after hours. For example the types of fillings, different dental specialties or on charting ( a variety of different aspects.) I was shown in x-rays, pictures and in real life the before and afters of the procedures and difference dentistry makes. In addition to this I was taught about the business/ financial side of dentistry and the different ways in which the NHS and Private sectors of dentistry pay which was extremely useful. I will be writing a report using everything I have learnt and further research from guided homework questions in order to consolidate my learning which Dr Master will check over. I could not be more happy!

I had Completed 2 days worth of work experience at Bank View Smile Studios and can undoubtedly say that these guys are the best team of professionals working in a field they are 100% enthusiastic about.Having spent a day in each surgery (Dr Khalid Master and Dr Thomas Sarpong) my knowledge in the dental department has been developed largely.An immense thankyou to all of the astounding members of the team and a special mention to:Dr Sarpong-who instilled in me the importance of a patient-dentist trust element and building relationships within this, something that a usual dental practice are not so fond about.Dr Khaled-Who taught me about his career and dentistry as a whole, to a great degree.Dr Khaled’s motto of ‘calm and gentle dentistry’ was completely genuine and true; something even the patients will definitely agree with.Bushra-Bushra the dental nurse in Dr Khaled’s surgery aided me with my understanding and was very friendly and outgoing. Bushra also gave me a heads up before every procedure on the equipment used in the surgery which assisted me with my note making.Sarah-Sarah is a Dental nurse who worked in Dr Sarpongs surgery and again was very outgoing, genial and a joy to work with.The real tooth fairys^Thankyou for this fantastic opportunity.I hope to see and work with you in the future.A practice I would recommend without hesitation!

Best dental service!I am so so glad i decided & booked consultation with Dr Khalid after searching on google & social media..i went to Dr Khalid with so many gum & tooth problems specially not visiting regular dentist checkups during covid times , other than my gum & tooth issues i had front teeth chipped discoloured twisted and gap which i wanted to sort out since 10 -11 years.. Dr Khalid is amazing doctor and takes every little problems very serious we talked thru all little details about different treatments for good hours ,Dr khalid explained everything to me and came to a best plan and decided to fix first all gums issues then come to smilemakeover at the end.And i was very nervous about pains but honestly i never had to go thru any pains during or even after treatments .. just a little soreness a day.Had my home whitening kit as well which is very easy to use at home and not had to wait long to see the results within couple of weeks.Now i can smile & laugh with full confident.And of course not to forget her assistance lovely Bushra ,she is very sweet girl , always smiling & welcoming.I always felt so welcome everytime i entered for my appointments ..Dr Khalid’s got amazing staff & good team. After having a bridge done, teeth whitening and my front teeth making shorter and my gap filled by khalid ( an amazing job btw, I get lots of compliments on my teeth 🙂 ) I introduced my mum who is in her 70’s to khalid as she had issues with the last dentist she was at, they practically ruined her teeth, she was never happy with her dentures, they never fit right and they were really uncomfortable so khalid worked his magic and managed to make the perfect fitting dentures, she also had a tooth removed, she was petrified but he was very calming and reassured her that he will be as gentle as possible, all I can really say is khalid has a really great bed side manor and he’s really made my mums teeth the best they can be, I’m really happy with the end results, thankyou khalid for doing an amazing job 🙂

I, like so many, was terrified of the dentist and found every excuse not to go. I also knew that I had a good few issues in need of resolving and I wanted to save and protect my teeth and smile at all costs.From my first visit with Thomas, I felt relaxed, comfortable and confident and have spent the last few months returning for various treatments and came away each time with excellent results.Everything is explained in full detail, all questions answered and I can say I have never experienced a moment's discomfort whilst undergoing any procedure from root extraction to root canal. Thomas is always kind, warm, cheerful and the whole team at Bank View beyond excellent in every respect!I have recommended this dental practice to everyone and cannot recommend highly enough. I no longer fear the dentist and that is a fantastic thing. I'm back to using my full smile as much as possible. In fact, I'm now enhancing it with the home whitening kit used by Bank View too!

For the last 12 months my husband has tried in vain to sleep in the same room with me only for him to end up having sleepless nights due to my breathing issues. He eventually gave me an ultimatum... Stop making noises or I will kill you. In my desperation for a solution I approached Dr. Khalid, and after listening to my problems, he helpfully made a few suggestions and we decided on a plan. After a couple of visits, I was given a sleeping device and advised on how to use it and care for it. That night I tried it out, it fit very nicely around my teeth without being too tight. It is also easy to clean and everything fits neatly inside the container.I'm pleased to say for the last 2 weeks both husband and I have been sleeping peacefully and he no longer wants to stab me at 2am. I only wish I had come to Bank View Smile Studios a lot sooner. Thankyou Dr Khalid not only for sorting my dental problems but also saving my marriage!!

I have been terrified of dentists all my life, but thanks to Thomas and the awesome team at Bank View Smile Studios, this is no longer the case!Everyone makes you feel welcome and at ease, my teeth were in an absolute state when I came in, but nobody judged me at all or added to my anxieties (in fact it was the opposite!).Thomas is a superstar! Extremely happy with my treatment!! After being in pain for several months at a different practice, I am deeply grateful for the level of attention and care that I received at Bankview. The problematic tooth was quickly identified by Khalid and preventative measures were put in place to ensure that I wasn't in any pain. As a person who has dental anxiety, I felt comfortable and at ease as Khalid explained the procedures so I was exactly on board with my treatment plan. A lot of other practices don't bother to brief their patients so personally for me, this is one of the many things that really highlights their practice from the rest. I'm glad to have transferred to Bank View Smile Studios and I would highly recommend this practice! I normally feel like I have had a really good experience with getting my teeth cleaned at Bank View and feel like I get my £60 worth of treatment. I get my teeth done every year however this time I didn’t feel like I got a thorough clean. I actually came home and felt like i could have done the same at home if I’d used my electric brush. Not an entirely satisfying visit.Great care taken with covid safety and social distancing policies which have been introduced.

From my initial consultation for my orthodontic treatment the service has been amazing! After a not so great first orthodontic experience as a teenager and being apprehensive having them again as an adult, Dr Thomas was so reassuring about my options available. His care and attention to detail is amazing. Truly is calm and gentle dentistry The end result is even better than I imagined it to be. I highly recommend! Also during the covid pandemic the team is working so hard and well at keeping it a safe environment. Keep up the good work!

Been registered with this practice for more than 10 years and I am so happy with the service. Have had several treatments and I couldn’t be happier. Dr Khalid is the best out there and I’m so glad I found this practice. Everybody here is very friendly and I have had my children registered here too. The treatment, the information given and the aftercare is next to none and I would recommend anyone wanting the perfect smile and care to register here.

I missed one appointment ( easy to do as they book 6 months ahead). Then lockdown happened. in the end I paid for over 18 months cover with no service. It seems unfair.

I first went to Bank View Smile Studios as an emergency appointment nearly 2 years ago & I can honestly say that one appointment changed my whole dental experience from being terrified to actually enjoying the dentist! I’ve had numerous surgeries, braces and all the extras that come with that & now I have the smile I’ve always dreamed of, along with healthy teeth - nothing I would have ever considered previously! Aside from the fantastic work on my teeth Thomas & his team have completed, the whole experience from the staff has been phenomenal!!! Every single one of the ladies that work at Bank View are just great & I always enjoy our laughs & catching up with them when I visit. I’ll never ever change dentists now and there isn’t enough kind words I can say about this fantastic practice & all the staff. Their charitable work is also well recognised, which to me just shows what great people they are!If you’re even considering just having a consultation, do it! My implant, veneers and crown are still going strong after 10 years when Khalid put them in. Always a friendly dentist with plenty of advice and useful tips. Wouldn’t go anywhere else and now my son is coming with me enjoying the experience from an early age!

Before being a patient at Bank View Smile Studios, I always had to be sedated for any procedure. I am now more than happy without any sedation at all. However, I never liked the initial injection to numb the area as it was a little uncomfortable for about 10 seconds, but not any more. I has two fillings yesterday and with a new technique they are using I HONESTLY never felt a thing! I actually said to Khalid and Hayley that it was as pleasant an experience as going to the hairdressers. Plus I was so relaxed I could had dozed off. They really are the best Dental Practice. Love you all. Xxx

Dr Khalid Master at Bank View Smile Studios & all of his team are outstanding! Awards aside (and there are many!) His calm & gentle approach to the work he carries out is second to none, i can honestly say as a nervous patient there is no better dental practise around! His knowledge & understanding is mind blowing & he is such a lovely man who not only gives all of his time & attention to his patients & staff but he gives so much to the community & supports lots of charities. Originally went to bank view for my braces in 2015, I was still registered with another dentist but they didn’t offer the braces I wanted. After meeting with khalid we decided to go with the fast braces, which I would only need for 6 months. After only 3 months my braces came off to reveal lovely straight teeth I had always wanted. After being looked after so well by everyone at bank view I moved and registered as a patient there. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now, a great dental practice!!

By far the best dentist around� can't believe I'm saying this about a dentist but I actually enjoyed the whole experience, Thomas is so gentle you just feel so relaxed in the chair. When I was a kid I had an accident on my bicycle and badly damaged my front teeth, I was supposed to go back to my NHS dentist when I was 17 (after my teeth had stopped growing) but I've always had a fear of the dentist and really didn't want to go back to have the work done. This year I've finally plucked up the courage to get my teeth back in shape and chose Bank View after reading all the great reviews on their website and I'm so glad I did, when Thomas was giving me the first injection on my first appointment I was very anxious, but couldn't believe it when there was no pain at all! Thomas and his assistant are absolutely brilliant, they are so friendly and caring they instantly put you at ease! As for the results, well what can I say... phenomenal, Thomas has transformed my smile and restored my confidence, I can smile again knowing my teeth look perfect! � I can't thank you enough!

Absolutely fantastic. After many many bad experiences with dentists as a teenager I had let my teeth get out of hand and hadn't been to see a dentist for a long time, I was looking for somewhere calm, caring and most of all someone who wouldn't judge me or my smile.. After finding bank view smile studios online and not being able to find a bad thing said about them I decided it was time to face my demons and get my teeth back on track. After meeting the most polite and genuine staff there is I was booked in for a full check up where everything was explained to me in full detail in a language I would understand. Today I have been for my first bit of work with Khalid and the results are unbelievable, honestly I can not believe that the teeth he has worked on are my own! Complete transformation with literally no pain at all! So long as I am registered here I will never be afraid of the dentist again! In fact i would even go as far to say as I can't wait for my next set of treatment to keep improving my smile! I just want to say a huge Thank You to Khalid and the rest of the team and to anyone looking for dentristy I would fully recommend you go here! 🙂

My whole family and I have been patients of the practice for nearly 40 years now! Initially it was my husband and I and then as the family grew, they all joined and now all my sons and daughters, their spouses and all our grandchildren also attend. We were under the care of Mr Timothy J Holt ever since he graduated in 1978 and we were always happy with the good care and professional service provided by him. However, this was to be surpassed the moment Khalid and Thomas took over in 2010 with their ‘calm and gentle’ approach. Khalid now looks after my family’s dental health and he does so wonderfully. When I first saw him, he seemed familiar but I didn’t know how or from where, but he recognised me because he went to the same primary and high school as my girls and so it took me while to adjust seeing him in his dental uniform and NOT in ‘short school shorts!’ Everyone in my family loves forward coming to the dentist, especially the young ones as there is nothing to fear at Bank View Smile Studios. However, recently I broke my top left molar tooth quite badly and when Khalid mentioned that he may need to do a root filling and crown, I have to be honest, all the bad thoughts of having complex treatment as a young women with my mouth ‘clamped open’ came flooding back.I have utmost trust in Khalid and his dental abilities, but ‘your mind plays tricks on you’ and on the day of the appointment I did get a deep nauseous feeling in the pit of my stomach. I needn’t have worried because the moment I mentioned this to Khalid he was EVEN more calm and gentle with me, reassuring me all the time he was working and I can honestly say that I did not feel a thing. The whole treatment was completely pain free and thoroughly calm and gentle as they profess. I cannot thank Khalid and all his wonderful team enough for making feel at ease and not a ‘silly fool’ as I thought I was being myself. His chairside manner is extraordinary and his attention to detail is second to none.My husband and I happily comment on all the wonderful awards he and his team seem to win on a regular basis, especially the best dental practice in the UK award, which I believe they won twice and I could not disagree with the judge’s decision. So I would highly recommend him and Bank View Smile Studios, without reservation to anyone who wants to see the very best and I pray every day that he never leaves Blackburn.

He has also taken care of my children's teeth since they were babies(now aged 10 and 11). The Khalid and his team of staff make going to the dentist a pleasurable experience. My husband and I have been with the practice for quite a number of years, we moved out of the area 6 years ago but we prefer to travel the 30 miles twice a year for check ups rather than change to a local dentist. The treatment we receive from Kalid is second to none, he always puts you at ease and explains everything clearly.
